The Ultimate Trendsetter

The most stylish sashayed in them. Us bloggers scoured thrift stores for them. But Michael Jackson rocked the shining shimmering blazers/jacket look 20 years ahead of us! We might not get inspirations from him directly but surely the fashion houses took a hint or two from him.

Weird pets? No, Paris you're not the first one to have a weird friend.
Remember Bubbles?

Michael Jackson is psychic!!
He probably knew years ago that there's gonna be an epidemic of Swineflu/H1N1 so he wore masks in advance!=P

Tired but happy

Yesterday, the health center where I'm currently rotating sent me to an "Operation: Tule" (Tule = circumcision) Wikipedia describes it as the removal of some or all of theforeskin (prepuce) from the penis .. Yes, we performed circumcision on little boys and not-so-little boys(?!?!) yesterday. It was fun I was able to finish 6 but it was SOOOO TIRING! The procedure itself is easy and fast (15-20 min and you're done) but the place where it was held was so hot.. No aircon, we were sharing electric fans and the windows were slightly closed because all the other kids were peeping inside so the heat practically drained the life out of me!

It was tiring but super fun and those kids are hilarious.. Special mention to the gay kiddies haha when a gay kid comes out after the circumcision, the crowd waiting outside claps and shouts "Yehey dalaga na siya!!" (Yey, you're a LADY now!!)

My friend and I went to the mall to watch a movie that night and I almost cancelled because I was too tired.. Good thing I didn't because I came home with these lovelies!! Talkin' bout some retail therapy..=)

A few additions to my ring collection..=) The last one is my favorite..
(All rings: Junkfood)

Love the tank very DIY-chic haha!! Plus it reminds me of those bleached Balmain pants so yey! No outfit post because I'm here in my apartment and I didn't even bring decent looking jeans.. Outfit post when I get home..=)

P.S. Does anyone know how to fix the post's time and date? My posts are 1 day late haha.. It's already Thursday here but my post says Wednesday..

My GradBall Gown

Please ignore the severe looking hair color!! I'll have it repaired in a few months haha..
Oh, whatevs it's just HURR..

This is the gown I was talking about in other posts.. I think it turned out nice.. You know where I got the inspiration right? I almost panicked because I went to the seamstress last Friday and the gown didn't have any beads or those criss cross things yet!! But good thing it was finished on time.. My gradball was Monday and I had the gown picked up at 2pm on the same day! Buzzer beater!!

Our graduation ball had an awards night/red carpet theme. They were giving out awards like future secretary of health, future doctor to the barrio, loveteam of the year, nottie to hottie among others.. And I won Fashionista award!!=)

(with the coolest people in Medschool=P)
After the program we wanted to go to Luneta (uhmmm, how do I describe it.. a national park? a park with Jose Rizal's statue? haha) and take pictures.. trip lang! The 2 BFs don't approve of the idea but 3 camwhores vs 2 camera shy.. Majority wins! But there were no parking spaces nearby so we ended up in Manila Bay area.. Camwhoring is always fun!

After camwhoring in Manila Bay, my friend Maneesh wanted to drink again (because the open bar had diluted shots!).. So off we went to a diner in Makati Avenue in our gowns!! Drank and talked about our favorite childhood games. So fun! Went home at 530 am..
My graduation is today!! Yey for me! haha..
Have a nice day everyone!

Poor Girl's Balmain

Ooops!! Good thing I knowhow to edit a little.. haha
(Thrifted Blazer;Topshop Tank; Bayo tights; Centropel suede ankle boots; Forever 21 sunglasses)

This blazer is inspired by Balmain (again). I LOOOVVEEE Balmain!! Bought this blazer last year in the Summer Capital/Thrifting capital of the Philippines --Baguio City for 50 pesos ($1). Yes for a dollar!! Initially this was a blouse but I had it reworked into a blazer.

Which look do you like more the one with the tights or bare legs? I personally like the one with tights because my legs look uugggss plus the tights adds drama to the outfit but the bare look is more suitable in Manila's tropical weather.

Styled and produced by: Me
Photographed by: Rosemarie our househelp (Yey for her!!)

The best thing about graduation = I'm done with medschool!! I'm "almost" a doctor already..

The next best thing = I get to design my own gown for our Graduation ball!! I hope the seamstress will be able to execute it properly and I hope it won't be too expensive! *crossing my fingers* Ahhh I'm so excited!!

My everyday style is more subtle now than when I was younger, but when it comes to gowns I'm the more-the-merrier kind of girl!! Give me layers and layers of tulle, beads and satin!

The 1st 3 gowns are by Filipino designer Cary Santiago. I am so amazed by his talent. Look at the silhouette and the intricate layers of tulle! The next 4 dresses are Balmain.. I love the dresses they are so unique, girly and edgy at the same time. Christopher Decarnin is a genius.. I love him..=)
